Job Summary: As part of the Applications Team, you will be responsible for the setup and support of business-critical applications used in the management of international scientific congresses. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Setup and configuration of operating software and internal applications
Provide application support and resolve software incidents within defined SLA
Communicate and coordinate with external software vendors when required
Provide system support and respond to queries from internal users
Prepare systems for meetings with scientific committees and manage meeting materials
Generate progress and statistical reports before and after abstract submissions
Support congress participants regarding abstract submission and the scientific program
Manage and maintain the scientific program, including program drafts and scheduling updates
Import and manage data (automated and manual processes) within the congress systems
Prepare materials for print and online publications, including XML files, eBooks, and congress app content
Work closely with scientific committees on session proposals, abstract processing, and scheduling
Upload and maintain information within the congress database
Ensure adherence to internal procedures and production deadlines
Requirements & Experience:
Strong Excel skills, including functions and data handling
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
Experience supporting end users in a business environment
1–2 years of professional experience in administrative or application support
Excellent English – both written and spoken
Strong communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence in English
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle large volumes of data
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
